What makes us different?

We don’t follow the herd

We're not just a race company.

We’re a community of runners who put on races for people who like to be sociable when they run and enjoy discovering some of Dorset’s hidden treasures with amazing views. We’re a race company with a sense of humour, reminding you why you love to run.

Most of our events happen over weekends, with a family-friendly vibe. There’s camping, meeting new people, running somewhere spectacular and distances to suit all abilities in a supportive atmosphere.

Inclusive events

The safety of our runners and marshals is paramount in everything we do, and we have some amazingly positive volunteers to help cheer you on. We like to create an inclusive atmosphere at events; no matter how far or fast you run, everyone is welcome.

In fact, the most fun is usually the party at the back – our friendly sweepers make sure no one’s last. All races are fully supported by experienced marshals, medics and a race event team to help you get to the finish line. As we run on trails, don’t be surprised if it’s not exactly 3.1, 13.1 or 26.2 miles. Bonus miles are awesome!

Challenging… but worth the effort!

The event locations we choose show off Dorset and Wiltshire’s beautiful countryside. Our races are challenging, with big hills, sometimes tough and unpredictable, but very rewarding all at the same time. We work closely with landowners to get access to some private land and are very involved with local communities and organisations.

Family friendly

Our event weekends often turn into a family holiday with a bit of running thrown in! We welcome spectators and cater for non-running partners and friends. Equally, if you come alone you will definitely feel part of the community. Our finish line dream team greet you with your medal and goodies. And what amazing bling those medals are! Each one is beautifully crafted to reflect the race and its uniqueness.

We look after you

We have a ‘fair for all’ policy. We’re a small company and pride ourselves on putting the runner first – this includes in our handling of race entries. We can’t offer refunds, but we offer the chance to defer your place to another race or you can transfer your place to another runner, without a crazy administration fee. These can both be done up to a few weeks before an event.

Love Station™ – aka the best aid station EVER!

We realise that running a long way is not easy and presents some challenges. Heat, cold, sun, rain, wind, falling over, hills, exhaustion, etc, can all take a toll and we are keen not to have any casualties! So that is why we have the Love Station, so you can carry on your merry way. It’s our aid station towards the end of the race where you can have a sit down, drink a glass of something like cider or cola, grab some cake or a Scotch egg, just to help you get yourself together before venturing to the finish line. All our aid stations have period products too so there is no getting caught out while on route.

What a brutal (my first trail race) but fantastic race. The panic really set in, in the car park looking at all the elite looking runners and not feeling anywhere … More near as professional as those around me. But I need not worried - turns out there were lots of abilities and lots of friendly faces. I’ve never been to such a friendly race, the organisers, stewards and volunteers alike were so supportive and helpful everyone had a happy face and what beautiful countryside. It had a very local feel with everyone seemingly knowing everyone but while that can be intimidating in bigger races it was lovely and we really did feel welcomed. Not for the faint hearted but highly recommend. PS yes there’s a “generous” cut off but when you take into consideration how slow the hill sections can be a wriggle on was defo needed for the slower in the pack (me lol).PPS have never seen such massive mr whippy ice creams - a defo must for the end of race reward (pictured is the small one lol)

The Giants Head weekend was brilliantly organised, with stunning scenery, a great barn dance, the largest ice creams I have EVER seen…oh and the best medals ever! … More Really loved the community feel to the whole event. I cannot recommend this enough. Thank you to everyone involved - it was absolutely worth the 400mile round trip!
